My shots from the Sunday of the Autumn Steam Gala. Much better weather than the Saturday. Locos were on top form!

An enjoyable day spent there yesterday - even if the timetable seemed to go out of the window right from the start! Not sure what the problem was (signaling?) but at least everything was running in the order it should have done, albeit 25-30 min late.
City of Wells looks quite at home...

Rather unexpected cool temperature/frost first thing in the morning though. The thermometer in the car did drop to zero on the way there!

Timetable had slipped by about 30 minutes by close of play on Saturday too. Not quite sure what the problem was - interesting to see that it isn't just single track railways that have these issues. I guess the thing with a Great Central gala is that there activity is so intense with a train about every 10 minutes or so that there is no time for recovery. Furthermore the tightish turnaround at Leicester North means that anything that arrives there late is almost certain to leave late. Anyway so long as the trains keep coming I guess everyone's happy.

The usual solid action across two days, with the B1 on Saturday's TPO being the highlight !

From the technical to the aesthetic, an absolute masterclass in video production.

Sir, I doff my imaginary cap to you. :)

What camera do you use, out of interest? The results are excellent.

Some great footage. Thanks for posting. I didn't realise that south of Kinchley Lane is now accessible again for line side photography.
