    No: I understand officially, passenger trains are limited to 25mph; non-passenger carrying TPOs to 35mph, testing (steam hauled) to 60mph, testing (diesel hauled) to 75mph. TPOs (which only run in the up direction) require the up line to be clear from Loughborough Central to Rothley; testing requires the line to be clear plus there should be no photographers (and possibly other people) on the lineside.

    There was a time when pres lines could get away with a liberal interpretation of 25mph (or in this case 35)... That time was called 'the past'!
