To update my earlier post in this thread about the SVR motive power, at Bridgnorth 82045 sees further progress. The link is in the 82045 thread, but for the sake of completeness a summary is worth repeating here.

In brief, driving wheels now attached to axles at Buckfastleigh, and the first of the cylinders cast at Cerdic Foundries in Chard. Second cylinder to be cast shortly, and both will then be machined at the WSR works at Williton. Driving wheel tyres expected soon from South Africa. Further machining work by volunteers continues at Bridgnorth.

Major push in 2014 is fund raising for the boiler/firebox unit.

Further progress generally at Bridgnorth will be passed on as the information becomes available, but it does tend to be somewhat difficult to ascertain the latest progress there. However for those interested in the overhaul of 7802 "Bradley Manor", where the work is divided between Bridgnorth and Tyseley, there is a regularly updated Facebook page, which is a "public " page, so you dont have to log in as such. https://facebook.com/ErlestokeManorFund

More "real world" SVR info as it becomes available.

7812 and 4936 reported on steam test today at Bridgnorth ready for the start of the season on saturday.
Repairs continue on 34053 with machining of a new middle engine piston rod and head, and a new front cylinder casting. Specialist welding has been carried out on the middle cylinder lining, damaged in the New Year's day incident. A boring machine is now being used on the middle cylinder liner.
Work on 7802 continues at Tyseley and presumably also in the Bridgnorth boiler shop, but otherwise there has been no recent specific general update on activities at Bridgnorth loco/works/boilershop.
42968 has been moved into the works to further prgress its overhaul. Stanier Mogul Fund members had been stripping the loco as far as possible outside.
0-4-2T 1450 arrived on the SVR on 6th February for an extended stay, along with two Autocoaches.
Steam motive power for the start of the season likely to be drawn from the following: 7812, 4936, 1501, 43106, and 2857.

Friday update: Engines for Saturday: 2857 and 43106. Sunday: 2857, 43106 and 7812.

Engines for half-term week: 2857 and 43106, with 7812 out to play thursday and friday on charters.
