    Beat me to it. I thought exactly the same thing when watching that clip. A continuous roar from the loco. I encountered a very bad case of priming travelling behind 31625 (when in her red guise) on the MHR some years ago when she was working out of Alton. A most bizarre and at the same time worrying sound came from the U boat. Could only be described as roar as there was no beat to her exhaust.
