I wonder if 34067 will be ready in time aswell. It must be rather busy up at Carnforth.

Come, come, Alberta, 70013 is a fine loco. At least you'll be sure to hear her, even from the last carriage! :)

Tangmere is reported elsewhere to be unlikely to return until June, and we already know that Ollie has been replaced on the 1st April positioning move by Lizzie. GB3 needs a loco guaged for Penzance - Par (we know from last year that a Castle can't do that section) to replace Tangmere (much as I love 777, I can't see her doing that section solo), and for Bristol - Shrewsbury - Preston to replace Lizzie. Therefore, I'd certainly expect Ollie to join 777 to/from Penzance.

I suppose Nunney Castle might be an alternative for day 3? Ben - do you happen to know whether 5029 is guaged for the whole of that route? There's some unfinished business between her and the Welsh Marches line, IIRC ;-) I still think Ollie is most likely to work that section, but we'll see.

With Lizzie scheduled to go to Edinburgh on 1st April, we can be fairly sure that she'll work Edinburgh - York on the last day. However, there's still a chance that 46115 will be ready in time for day 4, Preston - Dumfries - Glasgow. The "Hope For Heroes" thread suggests she will be repaired in time for that tour. It seems increadable to me, but WCRC have sprung a number of surprises in the past, so who knows? Otherwise, I've heard that Leander will do day 4. Then again, Ollie has to get from Preston to Glasgow either on Day 4 or Day 5, and it would save a light engine move...

I see 5029 is on the first leg now. Is she going to be ready with all the work that is going on with her at Tyseley? They seem to be doing alot to the smokebox and other parts as well. Streamlining it perhaps! Now that would be good wouldn't it?

    Manorbier Castle reborn........................

All we are doing is a bit of repainting, which is nearly done. Don't worry, she'll be ready!

Why? RTC says 6201 yes but UK Steam says 5029. And its route is Victoria Salisbury Bristol so it will go via Upton Scudamore.

Please tell us more if you know something we dont.

Poor Nunney... She'll go up there no problem! I really don't see why people always doubt her, she's only failed twice as far as I know, which isn't bad for a 76 year old loco, made from a 87 year old design!
