    ...And we had the pair double-heading on the GCR a few years ago, when both were in BR livery & both working (and 68846 fitted with its bell!).

    1744 will (subject to nothing going wrong) be hauling trains at the GCR this weekend, your first chance to get a ride behind her for a very long time. I should imagine the loco will be on the 11.15, 1.15, 3.15 and 4.45 services.
