Possibly Dumbleton Hall on its next leg of its journey from South Devon to, presumably, Carnforth? Did it look very washed out in colour?

6989 "Wightwick Hall" for Battlefield Line perhaps.... not a lot of possible GWR tender locos confirmed to go anywhere other than also 2999 to SVR.

Paint job looked ok to me although I was some distance from the loco. I considered 2999 but assumed all loading/unloading took place at Kidderminster.

Presuming the above is correct 2999 is at Didcot, 4920 was captured at Tewkesbury on 26th February according to the link sent above. Doubt it will remain there for three days...Unless I am missing something

Can't think of any other tender 4-6-0 to head on the M42 with the exception of 6989 to Battlefield for the season or so. (can't recall if 6989 is going to Battlefield one or two seasons)

M42 North is the right direction of travel from Quainton Road to Shackerstone so my money would be on 6989

For those that don’t do Facebook, it looks like it is 4920:

Sorry the loco I saw was a nice Brunswick Green unless I had a senior moment.

Given that the sign in the background of the 2nd photo says "South Wales" I don't think that's the M42 but the M5. Also the M42 is definitely not on the way from Devon to Carnforth, unless they have to go round Birmingham the long way to avoid a low bridge or something. Plus the report was that 4920 was on the M5 in Gloucestershire heading north several days ago, so unless something has gone wrong with the transport I would have expected it to have passed the Birmingham area by now. Given Brunswick Green 2's comment my money is still on 6989. I shall be watching the Battlefield Line's Facebook page closely over the next few days for confirmation of the arrival of their motive power for the next 2 years

M5 northbound, approaching Junction 9 for A46 Evesham. The brown tourist sign is for Tewkesbury Abbey.

6989 not going to Battlefield Line until end of June (staying until December 2022 or Jan 2023) according to new SR landed today?

Any indication as to why they think not until late June, rather than around Easter when it is conceivable the running season could start? Unless 5526 has stayed for a bit longer that would mean Shackerstone would be without a steam loco for a couple of months when they could potentially be running services (Covid etc permitting)
