I can't remember where I found this photo but the caption states that it was taken at Bw Templehof (Berlin) in 1953 but stencilled info. on the loco gave an overhaul date at Cottbus.

At least they provided a space for the key, Stanier spotted that Bulleid had forgotten it on the Q1s

Completely non-standard from a German viewpoint, so I'm surprised that it lasted until 1953. No sign of a Reichsbahn number, so possibly was in industrial use?

While the GWR and LMS built many hundreds of new 0-6-0Ts during the Grouping period, the Reichsbahn built only 49 for main-line use (Classes 80 & 89.0). They had inherited enough shunting tanks from the pre-1920 state railways to meet needs until the diesels arrived.

It is difficult to read in the photo but one can just make out (on the original) "Wehrmacht OKH-In 10" which would suggest that it had been in military use rather than DR stock. The "8" was its WD number IIRC.

Yeah, sorry about that, nerves and tiredness talking. :Bag:

I do have to say fair point on the Dean Goods and the Jinty, didn't they also have 5521 visit Poland in the 2000's?
