No I do not currently volunteer
Better late than never, went further south after the gala to Torquay for the airshow weekend, so just returned.
Thanks to all concerned for a great weekend, fly in the ointment was of course the time keeping, we ended up going straight to the restaurant each evening without showering and a change of clothes, railway fresh!!
My contribution, selection of what was running and different locations, made good use of 3 day rover ticket. P1080780.JPG P1080781.JPG P1080784.JPG P1080794.JPG P1080798.JPG P1080801.JPG P1080809.JPG P1080815.JPG P1080817.JPG P1080829.JPG

Yes I am an active volunteer
Some of my own gala memories are attached.

Even in the Edwardian era, few goods engines had such an elaborate livery as that carried by No 65. I wonder if LSWR No 563 will get to visit the Bluebell Rly and meet-up with engines in SECR & LBSC colours - not to mention No 323 Bluebell itself. For those of us who like our engines to have bright paintwork, that will be a real riot of colour!
