LMS black looks best I think.

That LMS red one looks stupid, I just dont like it, same as the Harry Potter Hall, but the Hall has made some good money from it I believe, and is now a good crowd puller for kids.

You can do no better than take a look at Clive hanleys pictures - clive, keep it up - i think you take some of the best around!

As an aside, the 8f will appear at the GW 175 gala as a swindon built 8f - wont be perfectly accurate, ejector etc, but it will play its part in the western story. We would be daft not to run it at the gala - and anyway, we know where Sir William came from...
As for livery after that you will have to wait....

As for 35006, the boiler is coming along very nicley over in kent and i hear will be back with us in a complete form in the not too distant future. There then still remains a fair amount of work to finish the loco ( all the fiddley time comsuming bits). I know that the small group would welcome any assistance in this final push.

If it wasn't it was 48431 from the KWVR (although I think the valley's 8f did carry LMS colours later). Ironic really, they both were built by others than the LMS. Wonder what the last LMS built 8f to carry LMS colours was? Any takers?!!
