    It is, albeit it is a known statistical thing.

    (That's not to say it's any easier).

    The flip-side of that is doing things that "must" bring the punters in, which don't. Also, if you don't cut costs and the punters don't come, you go down the hole even quicker.

    And the "sunk costs" bias
