    Hi Bryan. There's no shame in admiring a Royal Scot! They are close cousins of Maunsell's Lord Nelson class, after all.

    How about The Cathedrals Express on Thus 2nd Sept, from Kings Cross to Carlisle, for your first ride behind SG? UKsteam.info doesn't show where she takes over, nor the route, but the Steam Dreams web site shows pick-ups at Doncaster and Leeds, so I'd guess via the Settle & Carlisle both ways. Loco change could be at Leeds, Skipton or Hellifield. (I'm sure a quick phone call to SD HQ will get you the details, even if they are "tbc".) There's nothing quite like the S&C, and I'm a dyed-in-the-wool LSW fan. By the end of the day, you'll have a pretty good idea what 46115 is capable of.

    Runs like that are sometimes steam from Leeds but only back to Hellifield.. Just makes the steam mileage a bit more worth while.
