" I didn't lose the shovel, the fact it was 30 yards away in a field is besides the point "
Oh and that's 'Bellerophon' to you! [-X
Or 'Mr. Bellerophon'?
Mr. Bellerophon Esq. I think :-k
Peckett W6 special 0-4-0ST "Merlin" arrived back in Shildon
today from RMS Locotec in Wakefield. A lot of work
has been undertaken but the loco is in bits and i've just got
in from unloading it. No timetable set for a return to steam, the
boiler is off site for overhaul, including a new firebox.
The engine's parts are currently visible in the museum's workshops.
Oh great another industrial back in County Durham, even if it is a Peckett
So, are we going to finish Dubsy ? - you lot clearly have time on your hands and are all very clean !.
August 10th - left hand piston day if we can work it out.
Brake cylinder has had replacement area cast & welded in - that just leaves the right hand cylinder to worry about....
Peckett 2104 passed its steam test today. Hopefuly should be out on sunday to help with the shunting for the Thomas weekend.
Friend of mine is currently building a 7mm 16" barclay kit and is struggling with the layout of the cab. Anyone got any pics that might help with backhead fittings and pipework they can let me have a copy of?
we got an 0-4-0 BARCLAY at the spa valley can get some pics for you if you want i am there today its number is 2315 take a look at SVR stocklist and see if its any good and let me know it wont have the coal bunkers in the cab as its got a retro fitted bunker on the back now. but all the important stuff is ok and unchanged i think!!
It's the steam stand and layout of the pipework for inectors etc that he wants as he's doing an open back cab, so as long as that is standard(ish) then should be fine, thanks.
Will this do?
Yep, lovely ta! Will pass it on. Thanks for your help.
Jennifer is coming along nicely as final assembly takes place.
Talk round shed is another month and she'll be out in all her apple green glory, don't quote me on that as it's just a rough idea of when she'll be out not a definite answer.
Oh dear, have just seen a pic of another loco that has succumbed to the "paint it BR" brigade!
Peckett 'Whitehead' at the Midland RC can now justify the name 'Blackhead' being sudo BR blacked with a GW style number plate!!! ](*,)
See pic on link http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2331397 ... 0653EeKPnA
And Pamela on the VoGR...
When will it all stop? If it ain't people doing this to industrials, it's people chopping steam rollers into showmans engines in my other steam hobby! ](*,)
