My trainee fireman at Beamish must have made a special trip from Bowes to Tanfield just to fling it off the footplate! (see how much co-operation there is in the North East! Where else do you see that!)

The working Llangollen Industrials are at this moment both on hire, Darfield No.1 at Embsay and "Jessie" away again as "Thomas" but due back for Llangollens own October half-term Thomas event. "Austin 1" awaits the completion and departure of "Jennifer" before work can begin. Not quite an industrial, but 15" guage replica Heywood 0.4.0T "Katie" from the Eaton Hall Railway has arrived at Llangollen for a 10 yearly.

Jeniffer is running then... Wouldn't mind having a go on that up Berwyn bank. It looks a right beast. Gather it will go to the Colne Valley for it's hire period as soon as running in, painting and final fetteling is done then.

So it's Katie that is sat like an MIC class exhibit, with it's regulator exposed, next to the shed siging on point!!!!

Manchester Ship Canal No.67 has returned to traffic at the Middleton Railway. The loco was out of traffic after a piston ring faliure and has had a fair bit of work. The loco was steamed on Saturday and ran some light runs followed by two runs on the passenger service before running a full day today.

Just thought I'd warn Matt et al that we bought Bellerophon a present while at the KWVR yesterday... You should be able to spot it next time you're around :D

    Unfortunately it's not a shovel!

I've said for a while that the industrial railways need to work together more.

I've got nothing against mainline railways, but we are often are viewed as the second class heritage railway movement. If you want to set up an association... count me in...!!!! \:D/ =D>

Polish TKh "Spartan" at the Spa Valley, had its first 'in frames' steam test last Sunday, with pressure rising to around 120PSI. Unfortunately, problems with the injectors meant the test had to be aborted and so the safety valves could not be set. I'm hoping to strip the injectors next Sunday and cure a few niggly leaks on pipework and then steam it to full working pressure on Sunday!!! Fingers crossed!!! \:D/

B.S.C.No 2 has had its water tank put back on and pipe work fitted, also had its chimney repaired and is now ready to be fitted, should be in steam next month!! Singapore may have 1 play day left but I think she is about finished now.Have received a new loco BELVOIR from Chapple. She needs some minor boiler work but is in excellent condition and could be the groups next project after Sir Thomas Royden is put back together! =P~

I'm glad to hear that, when I was at Chappel that was the one I always wanted to see run. Will be great to see it in steam one day.

This could be true, we have yet to get any serious poking around done but from accounts she steamed for a year and that was it, We will be putting her back in to service though it just depends on what we find that requires doing on how long she takes! is there anyone out there who used her at chapple? She should look good with our 10 tipplers on running past her old shed!!

B.S.C. 2 has had the ash pan and chimney fitted so its getting closer.

Fantastic!!! Looking forward to seeing that running!!!

Bellerophon seems to have eaten her own little end components and looks to be out of traffic for the rest of the year!!!!! She will return early next year!!!!!

Just noticed a news update on the Rutland railway centre's website regarding Belvoir.

    http://www.rutlandrailwaymuseum.org.uk/news.php

I'm glad she will be restored to working order in the future. A very handsome loco.

Will certainly beat being in the open slowly getting in a worse state of repair!

A shot i took last year of her at the East Anglian Railway Museum.
