    I've been busy travelling the country in my role as a judge for the ACoRP awards, which has also enabled me to add several hundred new pictures to my website. Click the link to find out which galleries they've been added to: https://paulbigland.zenfolio.com/recent.html

    Here's a new blog in which I go looking for the best places around Manchester to see the old BR Pacer trains before they start to be withdrawn and find lines which are worked by pairs of the beasties for most of the day. Oh, there's a few photo ideas, a bit of history, comparison shots from 2000, pub recommendations and a bit about station friends groups and the work they do, so a bit of something for everyone

    I've been looking through the photo archives for a new 'down memory lane' blog. This one's going to be looking at London Bridge station from 1989 to the present day. I've added the first two parts which cover pictures from the BR era up to the end of the 'slammers' in 2005, plus the start of the e station rebuilding back in 2012. You can find it here. https://paulbigland.blog/2018/08/28/down-memory-lane-no-5-london-bridge/

    Yesterday's rolling blog ended up being a bit of a review of station pubs and cafes. It starts off with a visit to the new pub (The Waiting Room) on Durham station and also has reviews of a couple of establishments on the Tyne and Wear metro system. The Left Luggage Rooms on Monkwearmouth and also Coffee Central at Whitley Bay, so if you want to know where you can play 'Rhino Quoits' or get Spanish lessons, read on here....https://paulbigland.blog/2018/08/29/escaped/ Needless to say, there's also plenty of pictures.

    I spent most of last week at the massive Innotrans rail fair in Berlin, Germany. Items of UK interest included Siemens Class 717 for Moorgate services, one of the new Stadler 4-car bi-modes for Greater Anglia and also one of the new Glasgow subway trains (also from Stadler). You can find the pictures in this gallery;

    I've also begun adding my new German rail and tram shots to this gallery. First up are the delightful Waltersdorf and Rüdersdorf tram systems; https://paulbigland.zenfolio.com/p422515587

    Two updates today. Firstly a blog crunching the StopHs2 campaign's February social media numbers after a busy time thanks to C4's attempted Hs2 hatchet job in Dispatches. https://paulbigland.blog/2019/03/01/crunching-the-stophs2-social-media-numbers-february-2019/

    Secondly, I spent to first 3 days of this week travelling the Midlands, London and the ECML, so I've added nearly 200 pictures to my Zenfolio picture website. Follow the link to see which galleries have had pictures added. https://paulbigland.zenfolio.com/recent.html
