    Paid a flying visit to the Island last week ... not literally, as we used the Ben-my-chree.

    Various meetings and so on, plus a good look around at/in a few places & had a few chats.
    Things {hush-hush ones} are progressing ...

    @Mike Buttell

    I hope the cruise ship visits went well on Monday ...
    She was certainly a big vessel !

    I saw some comments on fb about needing more crew & carriages on the heritage railways - quite agree, but these things take time & money to achieve !

    Lots of positive reaction from the cruise passengers, IOM Transport pulled out all the stops to accommodate as many as they could
    Have spent this afternoon with a local group, leading a tour looking around the works, lovely day again, trains packed IMG_9630.jpeg

    I gather that there was a second one anchored in the Bay ?

    Did "Spirit of Adventure" also disgorge her passengers ?

    Lovely! I should be over there for faster, noisier, less reliable old vehicles this week. From the pics, it looks like you have three more railways to tick off, so that's a good excuse for a return...

    Hope you had a good time on the bus tour, I started this about 10 years ago and year by year have added bits to it (and taken bits away that perhaps weren’t as interesting)
    Over the past couple of tours we have finished at the Queens Pier in Ramsey, which although closed at present, may reopen again in time. Before that the tour finished at the old Ramsey Station site which was a bit depressing.
