Shame this advert is about 6 months too late...

Doesn't bode well for the rest of the peak summer season given the length of the recruitment process - unless they have an interim solution.

I mean tbf to WCR it can’t be the easiest location in which to find masses of people wanted relatively low paid work. But it is a good opportunity for some people and I hope they find the amount of staff they want.

Update on WCRC website (dated 07 August) confirming Jacobite cancelled up until 09 Aug then adding that only the afternoon services are cancelled on the 9th and 10th. The morning services appear to be going to operate, something has changed - good news!

I thought that. It's only a small amount less than what I earn, and I work full-time in an office. I've just Googled what the minimum wage is these days, and apparently it's £10.42. So the salary WCR is offering is above that by a decent way. It seems a very generous job offering to me. I wish them the best of luck with it.

It’s not unusual in this sort of market as it’s really a hospitality type of role, which as an industry is finding it hard to recruit so it’s quite common to have hourly rates at this sort of level. As WCRC will be competing for the same workers it’s not surprising what they are offering, especially as in addition to the general recruitment issues they also have to contend with trying to find people in quite a remote location.

    That is good news.

Let's hope this has been a harsh lesson learnt. Financially and reputationally, this will have hit hard.

Neither is punctuation, on this post - it's 'pre-requisite', noting the hyphen.
