Unfortunately, it's been like that for at least three weeks!

I notice also the "investment opportunity" information is no longer on the website, so maybe someone with of lot of money has come forward. Let's hope so as it would mean the continuation of a well known name in railtours and hopefully a refund to those customers who are still owed money.

Anyone else out there trying to get a refund via their credit card ? My initial request met with the usual waffle and no offer of help but perseverance and use of the words 'Consumer Credit Act 1974 Section 75' in my second letter seemed to do the trick and they sent me a form to fill in so maybe I will get something back eventually.
Not sure the disappearance of the investment opportunity from the website is positive news, after all, thats what happened to our rail trips just before they got cancelled. Good luck to all............

I am still trying, nearly £300, I sent a bundle of forms first time round, were sent more but have quoted CCA 1974 Section 5 so fingers crossed m and my mates will have our money back.

I have to say I find the fact that they can update their website wholly unsatisfying when the cannot be bother to contact or refund theur (former) customer. I guess with what has happended and the stories on here Kingfisher may struggle to fill tier first few trains until the doubters see their trains running. It will certainly take me a while to book with them again.

Someone I know tried that for £200 worth of concert tickets that he never got but his CC company refused it as each individual ticket was priced at less than £100. They said each item had to be over for them to refund under Section 5!
    He's still negotiating.

    Point being?
It was like that for almost a month on the PMR Tours website before they were announced.

When my father died Kingfisher said they would refund the £640 of monies paid for tickets on a tour . Unsurprisingly we have not seen this as yet.

Just heard from my bank that they are to refund the monies owed (around £300). They needed further proof from me that Kingfisher Railtours and Railwayvideo (which appears on the credit card statement) are one and the same. Just a tip if anyone is in dispute with their bank to include this in their original letter.

Good luck to those who still have claims outstanding.

My Step father recently lost his job and was owed 4 weeks money.
So after waiting for a very long time on false promises. He applied to have the company
    made bankrupt.
Anyone owed money can apply to have a company that owes them money,

After a long drawn out wait, phone calls ignored, emails ignored and false promises we have managed a refund on the dalesman (September 08 Cancellation) by claiming against our Credit Card company under the Consumer Credit Act. Seems unfair that Barclaycard are out of pocket and I trust they will now chase Kingfisher railtours.

Anyone who paid by Credit Card (not debit card) can do this. Takes about three months to complete the prcess

Yes. Barclaycard won't be out of pocket, trust me! A nice big chargeback of the amount you're claiming plus Barclaycard's costs. Too many of those and Kingfisher will lose their merchant status and they then would be unable to process credit card or debit card transactions. It's an expensive process for the retailer, so they really don't want to be slapped with too many chargebacks.

Anyway, if Barclaycard were out of pocket, they could simply ask the government for some taxpayers' money to cover their loss.

I had the same problem, they soon changed their tune when I said I was sueing for bankruptcy.

Once they get the legal letter stating the bankruprcy charges, you are within your legal right to have that company suspend trading until the dispute is sorted out.

    Not good for business.

    Regards
