Gauging? A BB? They were built to Hastings Gauge!

A BoB would be in gauge...we have City Of Wells remember which is the same.
However Manston is not available as its in use at the NYMR and they dont want to let it go.

As a general rule of thumb tho for the KWVR - Any pacific is out of gauge - except BoBs/WCountrys and Britannias (Clans - if only )
    Kings and Lord Nelson too.
Royal Scots would prob give our civil dept a reason to shout at me but if probably just within.

Would say there are enough locos without 44871 being replaced.
If not there is a member of the gentry booked on a railtour from Hellifield then Saturday after the gala.

46115 wasn't allowed to work when it was a resident.

back in 69 the track wasnt as good as it is now. When we were looking at the mainline gala last June we looked at the weights for a Scot. It could run at a 20mph reduced speed as Oliver Cromwell did last year. Altho the pway dept may not like it, it is theoretically allowed!

46115 will sadly probably never run a normal KWVR train again, id still like 46100 at one point tho.

Personally... It's already been said there were a hell of a lot of locos, and thus finding enough work for each of them to do was a problem. Well if there's one less, everything else can get some more turns? 73129 and Bell plus the home fleet is hardly to be scoffed at! And if it were to mean that Bellerophon could get a full line trip, presumably in the evening, then all the better

Everyone. I can confirm that 44871 is not attending the event.
    The timetable will remain unaltered.

More soon. Keep and eye out on the website for any latest news and Ill try to post in between playing trains on the ECML.

Shame about 44871. If it has only commitments than no one can really be blamed! Still, 73129 is still going and will make a lot of noise out of Keighley station.

Just got a print out of the timetable for Saturday. I see there is a vintage bus between Haworth & Oxenhope. Is the bus free or do you have show your rover ticket to the conductor/driver?

We'll be in attendance from Thursday at the railway filming all weekend and the prep day on thursday. Copies of the DVD will be available online next week, and from the kwvr shops in a couple of weeks. Details about the DVD will be available from the timetable. Details will of course go on our website shortly, it's just been a little hectic lately.

Spare spring incase one breaks when coming off Wagon - hence why alot of loco owners dont like it on a wagon.
Bellerophon and 73129 are at the KWVR

Spare springs accompanying a loco on travels from home is standard practice. Far better than a van journey at God knows what time of day or night!
