A big thank you to the staff and volunteers of the KWVR who made us so welcome this week for the two days of 30742 Charters Photo days . Thanks to everyone who supported the events and the kind words of appreciation for them

46100 on Monday was just magic. What a machine , what a sound . Runpasts at top field in the morning will live long in the memory as that wonderful exhaust note reverberated around the valley

Great video with excellent shots - and really good editing: each clip is a a nice length rather than having 2 - 3 minutes of nothing before the train flashes past in 5 or 6 seconds like many videos on YouTube!

Yep. Remember it well. A certain tall lugubrious fireman had just passed his chef’s exam iirc ….. Outlandish footplate garb was not unusual back then, I can also recall Arab headdress amongst the more repeatable outfits.

Great pictures. Was there myself today but I don’t really bother with my own pictures as they’re never as good as other peoples! Good turnout-the only trains I got to sit down in were the shuttles!

Nothing has changed from when I last went a few years ago. From the old lane that goes over the tunnel. Although there has been clearing around the tunnel mouth.

(also nice to see 85 back in service again) and also managing to squeeze the double header in from Oakworth to Oxenhope with the jube 45596 Bahamas and 46100 Royal scot and also getting the non stop express with the visiting 7714 pannier tanky, I hope all visiting Enthusiasts got their loco,s or tanky engines they wanted to ride behind or photograph and enjoyed their steam gala W,end in the Worth valley.
