    I like 43106 I'd have to say that its one of my all time favorite loco's not the most pretty but gets the job done.

    It was indeed the pig's comeback gala, which was why we had the abundance of ivatts (not that you need a reason imo). The pig came into traffic at the very end of august that year I think. Ran most of that year with the flying pig toy on the top lamp bracket.

    Seconded! I really hope 46443's not out of traffic that long. Kind of grown up with it really.

    Relating to the OP, was lucky enough to see the USA dock tanks working in Southampton Docks as a boy (father pushing his education access pass for student parties to the limit) so any USA running is good news.

    She seemed tailor made to the shorter overnight sets at the ASG, much as I love the GWR, 7812 is too noisy for overnight and nearly gave me frostbite when the steam heat gave up a year or two back.
