Sad to relate the passing of Lance King on the 2nd of January. Lance was the founder of The Continental Railway Circle and edited the Continental Railway Journal for over 40 years.
Pre internet days, the CRJ was probably the main source of information on international railways and was keenly read by anyone contemplating chasing trains in far off lands, as testified by my own large stack of CRJs.
Lance made an enormous contribution to our pastime and he will be very much missed.

    Cheers,

    Alan
