An aspiration perhaps but howzabout a Prairie from Paddington to Windsor via Slough [ or even simply running a Slough - Windsor shuttle on weekends ] using a Prairie based at WCRC Southall; options could include Olton Hall making guest appearances; Headboards could include "The Victorian"; "The Windsor Link"; "The Royal Jaunt" etc. If the range is right [ and water could be arranged around Paddington howzabout a Prairie run from Paddington to Southall irself ?

Doubtless there will be reasons why not but is there any possibility of the potential being investigated ?

Not sure whether to resurrect this old thread or start a new one - however it sounds like 4144 is going into the works at Didcot in the hope of a fairly quick boiler overhaul to get her back in steam. If you want to oil the wheels so to speak I understand that profits from the Black Python real ale bar on the Saturday of August Bank holiday weekend are going towards funding this.

    Excellent news

Dare i suggest considering putting her out on hire to bring in some much needed funds towards say overhauling one of the other long term term out of trafficers

I would of thought Cookham is would be an ideal choice
