Not wishing to defend that person, but the service train heading the opposite way is actually in shot as Tangmere comes into view, so although he is in a compromising position, there is not much chance of being caught out on this occassion.

Thanks Mark, I think all the 'northern correspondants' enjoyed seeing (and indeed, hearing) 34067 yesterday. It would be nice to see her do a bit more work up north.

Food for thought Austin, maybe later in the year a few trips North with Tangmere

and a few trips South with Scots Guardsman. Enjoyed the Vid.

You can keep your paper ripping machines down south thanks. We have enough engines that chuff properly to keep us amused up here. GW engines excepted of course.

Except when the "proper chuffing" is drowned out by a sticky tap ;)

Thanks to all who have posted up the videos and photos from yesterday, I have finally got round to having a good look at them and some great stuff there. As I was working Tuesday and couldn't get out to do a bit of linesiding I would like to see her on the way down to Southall. Can anyone confirm if the move is going ahead tomorrow as posted earlier in the thread? I may be able to get out of work for an hour to nip to Winwick and make the time up later in the day... :spy:

    Thanks, Neil.

Rumour has it that she may be delayed, with the Preston departure now around 12.30, but with 11 coaches and of course a 47. The 47 is likely to be behind Tangmere as well and not at the back, probably to do quite a bit of the work to save on water stops.
