Carriages do get swapped between Carnforth and Southall. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it, but WCRC do carry out maintenance on their fleet from time to time. ;-)

No actual times and .......This service was cancelled between Carnforth Steamtown and Southall Wcr due to an unknown problem.

Both passed through Nuneaton within seconds of each other. Someone in the right position could have got a shot of Mayflower crossing the mainline while the black 5 passed underneath. Unfortunately I was too far down the platform, did anyone manage to get the shot?

Lovely pictures there. Your always at risk with the wcml on being bowled. Got to admit I have enjoyed the postings from today and trying to work out what's going on!

Thank you for the kind comment!, glad you like them :)

Strangely enough, if it had been a Pendo, it would have been out of the way and I would have got the shot I had planned, also if she had turned up at the time I was expecting (going by the timings 6136 put up) just before 18:00, or if she'd been on time based on the 5Z44 times, the line would have been clear!................................................... aren't L E moves such fun, especially with the confused dot com element of today's move!!

Almost got them both in the same frame, but not quite! Just a shame you need to take sea-sickness pills before watching it.

Nice video content, near on perfect for catching both loco's together, any earlier for 45231 passing and it wouldn't have quite worked out in my opinion.

Now, how about a suggestion for purchasing a cheap tripod that will help with hand movement/shaking? Think a basic one comes pretty cheap nowadays.

We all have problems when filming with a hand held video camera. It's not easy. The more you zoom in, the bigger the problem.
As suggested by Shoddy, get hold of a cheap tripod and practice, practice, practice. You'll wish you had tried it years ago. <BJ>
