Railway Herald reports that 61264 will be undergoing a loaded test run on 10th Jan around the Carnforth circle. E+C move the day before from nymr. Assuming all goes well will then move to ELR for a few weeks.

I would be very surprised if Carnforth have made a decision to do a test run that far in advance....

Merely quoting the report Ralph. Perhaps the loco owners have provided the info on the basis of the plans they have made and contracts agreed?

And as the 5's had the hammer down in a hurry to get home, all you see was the exhaust trail! :(

So a couple from me.................... About to get bowled................... and..... Racing North......................

Just a simple record shot of the ladies passing Acton Bridge near the end of their journey back:

Thanks to those of you who have watched this stuff over the year and special thanks to those who make such sights happen.

Enjoy your Christmas and hopefully we'll see and ride behind more steam again in 2014.

    Chris

Nice one Chris, they were certainly ducking and diving as they approached....
All the best to you and yours for Christmas and the New Year.
