Thanks 26D, i always think that the Capernwray viaduct shot suits just a engine coach.

Gosh.....had forgotten I'd started this thread.....I don't recall any major disputes on it either like the "Today's Pint" thread........anyhow do what is best for everybody I say.....and including test runs would be ideal..........

OK all 2013 here now, I've removed the one or two that discussed the change as they are not needed.

Is 34067 likely to have a test run before heading off with 44932 to work the Mayflower on 16th March?

In 2011 she had two test runs round the normal Hellifield Blackburn loop. Last year she stood in for 46115 & pulled The Cumbrian Mountain Express (with a little slip going up Shap) during her extended stay at Carnforth, with 44932 standing in her for down here, heading back South just the day before her booked tour.

I see something is due to come out of Southall WCR on Friday 1st March, do an about turn on the Greenford Triangle, then shoot off down to Swindon way and back to Southall via the Geenford triangle again.

I can only assume its Tornado?

My wife was travelling down the Great Eastern into London yesterday and saw 'a fairly large green steam engine with a tall chimney' in light steam just before she got to Stratford. Any idea what this possibly could have been? The way she described it made me think that it could have been a GWR Castle or Hall, but nothing on UK Steam or this site indicates anything that would have been in that area yesterday!

    Re: LE Movements

There was talk on here earlier of "Clan Line" going to Ilford for it's tender tyres to be re-profiled on the wheel lathe, could that be the one?

There was a Stewarts Lane-Ilford EMUD and return movement on Sat 02-Mar. I'm not sure what it was.
