    I understand the leading driving wheel-set will be removed on the wheel-drop then sent to Buckfastleigh for attention. Interesting that she came to Ropley. Isn't there a wheel-drop at Southall? Maybe it's not working ATM?

    So that means she will not be available on April 19 to Kingswear. Maybe we will get a bonus of Braunton, all things being equal.

    Does anyone have the date and an RTT link for the move of 70000 from Southall to Alton last week ?

    According to reports she arrived by lorry, sans tender, which makes sense considering she's got axle problems!

    Must have been 2 lorries, then, because her tender was coupled to her in Ropley yard on Saturday evening. The chap I was talking to said she was "brought in" the day before. That could mean either by road or by rail...

    I suspect she was bought in by road to prevent the problem manifesting itself during transportation, otherwise why else was she parked up at Ropley sans tender? (from the pictures I've seen she was parked up against the Std 4 tender - looked rather odd!) And there's absolutely nothing on RTT!

    I know that Tornado's move is currently showing on RTT for Thursday (the link being provided a page or two ago) but I can't currently find one for Sir Nigel's move to Didcot for the weekends gala. Is she already there and I've missed her or is there a possibility that she might hook up with Tornado's move and create a mouthwatering prospect of seeing them both together?

    Couldn't see anything warming up at Southall as I passed this morning, not seen a movement from Southall WCR to Didcot since sunday on RTT either

    Same here, although there is a "move" from Southall v early Friday morning, but it doesn't fit - it runs Dolphin Jct to Didcot fueling point, with nothing coming off shed at Southall!!

    I maybe wrong, but I still think 60163 will stop at Southall- even thought its still showing as passing at the moment - and 60007 join it for the remainder........

    Not easy, that means slipping across the up relief, and the up and down main at Southall East Jnct, and reverse into Southall goods loop, and then out across up and down main and up relief at Southall West Junction, all at about 17:30 (busy)

    Through (a now destroyed Tilehurst Station, you can see what I mean. Especially the locals.) on time.
    Taken by a mobile phone, so a bit shaky.

    )

    Typical! The aeroplane(s) arrived at just the wrong moment.
