They don't get cancelled, they are just not activated if not needed.

Bittern was in the shed on Saturday when I passed but outside last night and seemingly coupled to a support coach.

Check back through Southall WCR schedule last week and you will see several
This service was cancelled throughout due to the train operator's request (TB).

They frequently activate, and then cancel. Lets leave your silly semantics and points scoring behind for just a moment if you can, and get back to the question at hand, is this movement a significant Tangmere one or not?

Steam moves from Carnforth to Southall (even with a diesel in charge) don't normally use the standard 95mph 5V42 path, but a special 5Zxx path is normally set up leaving Carnforth several hours earlier in the day.

I think Ralph is big enough and ugly enough to look after himself, and besides is not immune from a bit of banter and sparring himself. And glad to have broadened your vocabulary, my bill is in the post, being education its tax deducible.

Why not? Its dead in tow, no motion connected, as long as its well lubricated its axle boxes its a a 75mph job isn't it?

No its limited to 60mph, so getting a path in the day time might be tricky!

Well its not pretty in its current state is it? They will have to throw a tarpaulin over it, lest it scares the kids going away on holidays.

JB, apparently couldn't afford one, so what do you expect? Considering its spent X number or years in the headshunt at Ropley it could be a lot worse! as for kids today being scared - I don't think so, given what they get up to on their X boxes & the like!:rolleyes:

And Jeff, stop the stirring....... I'm not going to react in the way you want! :p
