Last time I looked at the Bristol on RTT, it hadn't moved...

Not sure I ever said it was steam, indeed I think I was asking if anyone knew what it was...
    But now we know....

Meanwhile on the walls of Paddington station, if someone wants to see a real steam train, this poster says there is one at kings cross...

So all a bit silly really and just illustrates that at times RTT is only indicative. It seems the only thing that left P4 around 1215 was heading for Reading.

Depends on your point of view, a 37 at the stops in Paddington isn't all that common, and to see something relating to cross rail electrification was interesting enough to me.(as I said I wasn't alone about a dozen or so people turned out to see it, don't think anyone was expecting steam.
The hobby is not just related to coal.
I might not be around much longer so I'd like to get my fill incase I go.

If only the plates had numbers... :)
Being a bit on the portly side, getting mileage in might be a bit disruptive.

Return is cancelled... I guess the camera gadgets weren't working... (perhaps they were supposed to be on the front not the back ? ) :)

It could of course just have been a ruse to get some entertainment value at Paddington for a group of train enthusiasts to show up on a friday afternoon :), it did me anyway.. next stop Coulsdon to watch Clan Line.

It got me out of the house too but all I saw were a few HST's and stoppers. I was originally off to see Clan Line, still, saved the M25 hassle.

Shortly followed by Google TrackSideView, which allows photographers to get a real sense of the stupidly high ugly fence and overgrown bushes blocking their photo - all from the comfort of their armchair.

Lost my motivation to watch clan line.. I'm sat on the couch now.. I saw it in Victoria earlier, it had a silver 67 on the back.

Just in case there's anyone else as mad as me out there tonight, the rail motor is trundling along behind a 47 on the down fast in light steam ...
    Video to upload tomorrow
