    70000 Britannia seen on Allelys low loader at Junction 10 of M42 (Junction with A5) - parked up for ovenight stop. Loco had rods removed. Anyone know where it was headed?

    Carnforth too would have thought as both the major workshops seem to have lengthy and growing maintenance programmes.

    This was a WCRC diesel move. The original schedule was cancelled but it ran under Very Short Term Planning (VSTP) arrangements which do not appear on RTT.

    Are you sure about that? I have often seen VSTP movements on RTT. for example this one:

    and also,when VSTP "rescue" moves have been arranged e.g. from Carnforth to Carlisle not so long ago they were definitely showing on RTT.

    Some VSTPs appear on RTT, Some dont (usually VVVVSTP!)

    If a VSTP move is keyed direct into Train Service Data Base, it may not pass through the pass through the data feed which provides info for Real Time Trains.

    It does, thanks. The important thing is that RTT cannot be relied upon to pick up VSTP moves.

    They always appear on the Railcam live signalling diagrams, which I would recommend to anybody who may not know of them. But they only cover lines with power signalling. Details here:
