Thought I had stumbled on an unannounced LE move through Taplow today. RTT listed a WCR move from Southall to Bristol but it turned out to be a Pullman consist with top and tailed 47's, absolutely flying through on the main. Any ideas?

They all look the same to me. From an earlier report it appears that the locos were 57.315 top 'n tail with 57.313. <BJ>

Thanks for the info. They probably were 57's. Couldn't get a good view from where I was and they were flying.

I believe it's DCR, AFAIK they are the only TOC to operate 31s on the main line?

70000 and support coach are due to run Swanage to Stewarts Lane today - RTT has it as a diesel loco trailing 1060 tons(!) timed at 45mph max. I know steam always shows as diesel, but the load and max speed seem odd. Also noticed that a freight is due at platform 3 at Clapham Junction at 1518, when 70000 is booked at the same platform from 1516 to 1520!

Light engine / E+C moves are usually timed for 45mph, even when towed behind a DL. The trailing load figure is surprisingly high, but I guess it's to make the timetabling software give it lots of acceleration / braking time.
