Approaching Stafford 22 early, whether it will be able to leave the Crewe water stop early remains to be seen.

It's only a red Jubilee with one coach, it's overcast, humid and threatening heavy rain.
    So why bother ?

Well I haven't managed before now to see steam on the new line between Little Bridgeford Jc and Searchlight Lane Jc at Norton Bridge. So just in case it's ages before I get another chance !

We'll sadly miss its willing roar and bright gaudy colours down south, welcome back any time.

Ah that explained why she was in steam at carnforth just when I came past, assumed she was on way out, not way in.

I will second that. She performed admirably on the 9th July trip to Weymouth. My first trip with a Jubilee and a very memorable day. What a superb soundtrack from Galatea. I hope she returns South again.

Yes, it's running engine and support coach. It passed us at Keynsham (Bristol) 28 mins early at 11:22.

Thanks to all concerned for allowing us to experience such an impressive and powerful loco. :) <BJ>
