Just so. I don't care if it is an original. To my mind it's not a particularly good original and I honestly think she deserves better. Roll forward to February 25th at King's Cross and her departure. Embarrassed or what?

Great videos and pictures. She sounds superb (well apart from the whistle!).
Ian Riley and his team should be very proud. I bet they all had this face :) when they got back to Carnforth.

Yes I am an active volunteer
I appreciate that Scotsman doesn't have the extended capacity that 60163 has (though I hadn't appreciated it was to that extent!) - my point was that it had higher capacity than the 4000 GL "default" assumed by most steam workings. I'd guess the A3 uses more water per mile than a 5, which may neutralise my point :)

Here is Ian Riley's comment on the day from the other side:

'Scotsman did brilliantly on test today, with no major issues for 'the team'.

60103 now confirmed motive power for the 6th Feb RTC trip.

    Well I enjoyed it Ralph.
Trouble is, that will be the common problem this year when trying to get a shot of 60103 anywhere.

If they had been a few minutes earlier I might have considered the other platform but it's quite a long walk, unless I had just nipped over the tracks...

No no no I'm only joking...

Why didn't you go on the bridge, you would have had an uninterrupted view.

A great sound at Clapham Moor today, the A3 could be heard for a while before it's passing. Enjoy =)

You are wrong as it is not a foot crossing it is a farm crossing with a phone for the signal box hence no walking boards !
