Is it safe to say now 45596 will definitely going up to K.V.W.R. on 5th Feb after Tyseley lads and Bahamas have had us all on tenter hooks?;)

I think it went OK, the problem last week was with the TPWS.

I don't think we were 'all' on tenterhooks, most of us just waited patiently with confidence that they would get the job sorted.:)

An explosive performance through Tamworth this evening! Although the whistle (some 10-15 seconds long might I add!) was sounding like the LMS equivalent of Scotsman’s. Video will be up sometime tomorrow

Not uncommon with the Caladonian hooter fitted horizontally to Stanier engines with water condensing in the body of the whistle. It doesn’t seem to affect the smaller locos that have the whistle mounted vertically

Just depends if network rail enforce a firerisk hazard, 2017 seemed ok 4 not having a steam ban due to fire risk most of the excursions i went on such as the welsh mountaineer 2017 and the waverley 2017 steam all the way diesel unassisted. Could ave just been a weather phenomenon we had last summer.
