    Well you will find pictures on Flickr and t'internet of the engine preserved and in steam at Ashchurch still in BR Green as 46201.
    Certainly true to say she has never run on the main line in preservation as anything other than 6201 as the owners wish ).
    BUT let's just be happy the engine is now out on a test run eh ?

    Well could it have been sent round Clitheroe if the winds are strong up on the hills if a tree has fallen I've looked on travel updates to Morecambe no disruption if not sorry to say running in issues then, whatever it is though we will find out later if so.

    I don't think going round the circuit would be an option without a diesel attached. We have no idea what might have caused the delay so lets not start assuming the worst.

    Going east, the Arcow train was late, so 6201 probably had to wait at Settle Jn until it had passed Hellifield. Then there wouldn't have been time to get back to Carnforth before the 1503 to Morecambe needed to enter the section (40 mins from Settle Jn to Carnforth).

    Most light and loaded test runs in the past have stopped for a good look around at both Wennington and Clapham on the way to Hellifield so nothing unusual in it running late today I suppose.
