Ah fair enough, my mistake. Nothing I can see on the gen groups about it, except that it seems to return on Friday.

 

I believe there is a 47 at eastleigh that's had some work done? Guessing this is either a swap or something going to pick up said 47

RTT showing paths for Carnforth-Hellifield-Blackburn-Preston-Carnforth (5M50) tomorrow and Friday. These are not Q paths. Something on test?

Doubt it will be a red Pacific. It hasn't done a light test yet

 

Without knowing the scale of repairs carried out at 10A, bottom end work may not have been necessary, so the need for a light test likewise, from memory the prime reason she required attention was boiler.

 

Is there anything at Carnforth that has had a light test and is awaiting a loaded one?

 

In a word no

 

I heard that they had to do some work on the valves/lubrication. Maybe light run to Hellifield on Wednesday, reverse to Carnforth if necessary or continue round the loop if everything is ok followed by loaded run on Friday. We must be patient

 

Indeed it was !
Irritatingly missing a tremendous contrast between sunlight and shadow at Oakengates by only a few minutes.
With a prolonged stop at Coton Hill instead of the Telford stop this must be the hardest I have seen a loco worked through the station and towards the tunnel.
