Leander possibly, in advance of the run on Saturday? I don't think she's been out on the main line for four months.

Don't know, but last week RTT showed it running Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and only Tuesday happened.

70000 digging in nicely on the approach to Gobowen this afternoon. The sun decided to recede at the last minute, meaning me having to switch sides of the track, but very happy with the final result. Funny that she was being worked harder at Gobowen with less weight behind the tender than the run I was present for on the 2nd Dec. Well worth the 05:30 train off home to get over there. Having seen her twice today and also on 9th January it was clear that the loco was being worked hard on each occasion.

There is something at Carnforth which has had a loaded test and needs a second ;). I think it was Heritage Railway which confirmed it.

Yep. HR report said that there were a few issues found with 61306 after the first loaded test run which needed sorting out.

Is 45596 still to have a loaded and light steam test run on Friday 25th this week if anyone can confirm this because its not showing as cancelled on main line loco moves for Friday's light test runs to Stratford on Avon and the Leicester circular loaded runs?

If it's not showing cancelled then it might well be still on but there's never any guarantee that it's running until RTT shows the path activated on the day.

Woke up this morning to clearish skies and white stuff on the ground.

A second day of crew training with 70000 in prospect.
Chirk viaducts across a snowy field and back to Oakengates where the sun was a bit subdued by thin cloud.
