Could it be a certain airsmoothed loco on test?

 

Almost two hours faffing around at Carnforth before setting off round the circuit.

Edit: I had not read it properly. Two hours faffing before going to Hellifield and back.

 

Unlikely it’s steam with that code as normally it’s 5M50 or 5M51 with the later the light test path .

 

It’s not around the circle according to the above times unless I’ve read it wrong whatever it is but pretty sure it’s not steam with a code like that ?

 

It's not it's real code, it's been obfuscated. Which is interesting, as I haven't noticed that with West Coast paths before. They do them with LSL and most freight operators I believe.

 

But isn’t this the Carnforth way? I’m sure the head code is just the start. 98767 will be rolling out the depot in Red with Hogwarts Castle on the side…

Doesn't 0 state LE only, cannot see them sending something fresh out of the box entirely solo.

Reported to be 45596, though if it's being used next weekend on RTC's West Somerset Express, seems odd that it would move to NVR today. Whatever it is, the path has been activated.

35028 being taken to and from Ashford on Monday and Tuesday, for a visit to the wheel lathe.

 

It has since been cancelled.

 

I understand the movement is diesel hauled using DB C maintenance change over workings between Wembley and Dollands Moor.

Movement on Friday as far as I’m aware of Mayflower from Southall to Colchester and earlier this week their was also moves for the Standard 4 to move from North Norfolk Railway also to Colchester prior to the EUR 175 celebrations/tours.
I can’t find this now - has it been cancelled??

 

Only Mayflower with diesel now.
