There's a similar path for next Thursday, after the ERE tomorrow and the Golden Hind on Wednesday. They will need the Scot to run those, so no doubt today's path is cancelled.

This should’ve been 60007 but as it failed at Shrewsbury yesterday it went directly back to Crewe afterwards, Royal Scot is the motive power for the remaining English Rivieras and Golden Hind, I’d expect this path to be cancelled at somepoint

Path activated at 11:41 today. Guess it could still be cancelled?

Must have been motoring, it gained half an hour to Shrewsbury and took no stop there leaving just about an hour early !

Yes, it skipped the planned stop in the loop at Woofferton too, so those two will account for most of the difference.

About 20 minutes later crossing the Trent and Mersey canal at Colwich and 12 minutes ahead of schedule.
Frustratingly the narrowboat had disturbed the reflection on the water and even more so just after the train passed the sun came out.

Only a personal view of course but I thought the narrow boat added to the image. So much so that I thought you had negotiated that it sat there for the passing of Braunton!

Just luck Al, might have been better if the boat were still nearer to me with the couple looking up at Braunton :- never happy are we.
Amazed me just how busy the canal was. I was here between 30 and 40 minutes and in that time 6 boats (3 each way) passed through the lock just behind me.
