Will she not be running back to Carnforth after the event for overhaul, if she is to be overhauled?

I understand 45690 will be staying at the East Lancs until the boiler certificate expires in January.

That’s what I would have thought but the timings north of Glasgow are for a steam path yet south of Glasgow clearly for diesel.

Thats probably because there is more pathing flexability on the WCML than there is on the West Highland.

Steam tomorrow, diesel later in the week.

Apart from a few minutes to the start of the trip, the timings are essentially the same from Fort William to Beattock. A lot easier method for diagramming in the diesel ECS on the single lined WHL, and suburban Glasgow routes, is to copy and paste the slower steam timings. Only on the WCML, when stops truly become different due to watering and speed limits rather than passing trains, does the big difference occur.

Of course, signallers on the day could wave through the diesel led ECS early on the WHL and Glasgow sections if there are no conflicting movements.
