Thanks, I was just wondering if Tangmere would be able to haul the Edinburg train from Carlisle, but not easy to get there.

Also the issue of Carlisle falling in the NW zone. It’s a bit of a pain for WCR now

The turntable at Wansford is currently unable to turn a loco the size of Tornado. She came in facing London, so that's the way she's leaving!

Other locos recently have taken a route via the March triangle to turn.

Its hardly surprising I honestly cannot remember when we last had rain in Cumbria, and whilst it was forecast for this morning it never transpired. Thunder presently forecast for here, but looking out the window its presently blue sky and scattered (white) cloud, next forcast rain is Saturday, so we shall see.

There's only one set of West Coast stock that would look good behind steam ....and that's sat rusting away in a siding. [BJ]

They're HST trailers so they're useless without power cars or converted generator cars - the ETS runs off 415V three phase, rather than 750V DC like Mk1s and 2s.
