I believe that the usual procedure at Crewe is for loco and support coach to turn at the triangle on the Shrewsbury line after coming off the stock, before heading to the Heritage centre for the night. Saves having to run back trough the station in the morning.

A class 33 and a class 73, coupled together, were seen passing St Albans City Station on the down slow Wednesday afternoon a bit after 3pm. Took me somewhat by surprise (I was working on St Albans South signal box) and I didn't get their numbers. Anyone any idea where they were heading for and where they'd come from?

Thanks - the numbers look as though they were the ones we saw.

By the way - couldn't find the unofficial NYMR site - going via the HRA site which gave a nymr.demon address I was told Error 404 and shunted off to the official NYMR website. Have you got a URL for the unofficial site, please?
