    45407 is still being re-assembled they're certainly burning the midnight oil at Bury. The boiler was out of frames until the weekend past...

    The first pair would need to be at Hopwood GF for say 3.15 latest, and the last ones available until at least 20.00. So theoretically two pairs should be able to cover it. But perhaps someone knows better.

    They'll still need to take breaks at regular intervals - I think the maximum driving time is 4 hours 15 minutes followed by a rest period. Edward may be able to offer a more in-depth comment if he's reading this.

    Looking at the times, there is an hour and 20 minutes at Lockerbie, and then over 2 hours at Perth, so they just about fit in with the 4hrs 15mins.

    46115 left Carnforth some 10 minutes early.
