Just on my way back from a meeting in Watford. Ollie hurtled through at around 11:52 going like the clappers, chiming all the way. Wish my train was late now as I could of grabbed a phone pic.

    Hi everyone,

I am in Birmingham (Walsall to be precise) this afternoon and for most of tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any light engine movements through there today or tomorrow? I see on UKSteam that there is nothing planned, so my hopes aren't exactly high!

    Thanks in advance :)

70013's move back south today has been apparently been cancelled due to the loco failing at Barrow Hill before departure.

Oh dear... what now?! It really hasn't been 70013's year - a real shame, as whenever I have seen 70013, she has put on a great show! You can only feel sorry for the 5305LA boys, especially after the 10" crack the other day.

Just seen on uksteam that it failed it's FTR (again). Don't know what for though. Have the examiners got something against this loco?

Well just let it go on the National Network then, fail in the middle of nowhere (possibly causing the loco damage to itself) and hold other services up causing thousand's of pounds of delays which the 5305LA would more than likely be responsible for. What a rediculous statement to write, it shows the FTR Examiners are doing their job's correctly! But no doubt if this had of happened you would have wrote that the FTR Examiner involved should have picked the fault up. No win situation springs to mind.........
