Was manning the 34081 stall at Pages Park on Sunday. Excellent idea to put us in the shed as it gave us a good view of the comings and goings at the Park and the opportunity to nip out and take the occasional snap. Sunshine was a rare commodity unfortunately. Just a pity that due to Elf's failure with injector problems and the resulting impact on the timetable, the only triple header they managed wa a bunker first job from Stonehenge back to Pages Park. An enjoyable day nonetheless and a few bob in the BBLS kitty as well.

Photos from Sunday's Quarryfest. A really fine selection of locos, just a shame it was a bit less well organized than promised (timetable fell apart, shunting events didn't happen etc.). Nevertheless a great day out and I'm very glad I went. Chaloner with cab is a revelation.

After "another dazzling autumn steam gala" (Heritage Railway), with the best attendance in five years, this Sunday (30th) at the Leighton Buzzard Railway is for non-steam enthusiasts.

Double-headers with ex-Leighton Buzzard Light Railway Simplexes 43 & 44. Triple-headers with ex-RAF Chilmark Rustons "RAF Stanbridge" & AMW165 (in fire-engine red), plus Hunslet "Creepy". The 15.40 from Page's Park will be the public debut of Baguley-Drewry battery electric NG23, also from Chilmark. False start at 15.30, and several runpasts on the way. More petrol and diesel locos in action at Stonehenge Works.

Not to mention a massive motor-cycle rally in the Park itself, and vintage shuttle buses linking with Leighton Buzzard main-line station. And the rain looks like holding off until evening, so let's see another good turnout!
