Hopefully for 6233's final run before overhaul, the PRCLT may consider leaving Euston instead of the normal end of year runs out of the cross. I read somewhere that they do the same routes as they know the duchess is ok for gauging, but i see the WCML as no problem as it would be a fitting final trip to end on.

 

60019 is booked for the Palatine from Euston to Manchester in late March, also isnt 60019 running down to Euston with the return GB3 ?

 

And what does the sweatshirt look like please Ralph? I looked out for you on the Black Fives trip but the tiny picture on here didn't help in recognising you, after all, so many of us 'of a certain age' look alike!

I could be wrong but I think the GB3 route back from Scotland has been changed to the ECML all the way

 

You are correct. Day 9 of GBIII both on the the RTC website and in their latest brochure has been amended to this effect. Now 46115 [presumably if repaired] Edinburgh - York and 60019 [with two tenders] York - Kings X

 

Hey, just read this! I'm travelling with "management" for this trip so will be stuck at the posh end noshing (when my head's not out the window). I'm now drafting my letter of complaint (from Mr Angry of West Kirby formerly Tunbridge Wells). For this price I expect to be on the footplate not stuck behind you scruffy oiks in the cheapos. ;o)

I've seen a few references to 115 being out of action but nowhere can I find what is actually up with it. Can anyone enlighten me?

 

Tickets Arrived today, i'd advise those booked on it to read the letter VT send with the Tickets carefully as the timings particularly on the return leg differ quite a bit from those on UkSteam.

 

Perhaps New Street is not the best starting/end point for this tour...
