Assuming 12 on + the 47. nominally 15, hoping it's dry, there should be no problem with Ray Poole in charge.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this originally only going to be steam back to Birmingham, and not Crewe as it now is?
Not that I'm complaining you understand.....

Errm:decision: Well on reflection it would probably make more sense to stay with it back to Crewe....

Ralph, as the train is going up the Trent, it may be best if you did decide to stay on until Crewe. Having said that Birmingham International is only about 5 hour's walk from the Tamworth water stop at that time of night!

Currently met office shows drizzly early morning, before rain around lunchtime, then sunshine peeking through the clouds as Lizzie starts the climb up Camden, then a clear moonlit run back to Crewe.

I'll be out along the TV tomorrow - Polesworth and then hopefully Nuneaton if I can leap frog the water stop - 15mins is pretty smart for that! Weather looking a bit damp and dull. Maybe Nuneaton station for the return - can just pop out of the pub :)

Bang on time into and out of Atherstone - going a storm accelerating away from the water stop. Weather dull and camera not co-operating - dodgy photo's up soon.

Coasting into Atherstone water stop ....

Leaving Atherstone - shot too soon so too much digi zoom on cropping .....

Last shot before camera memory full - just before the master shot ........ last time I machine gun a shot :frusty:

Just Back from Primrose Hill NW1. Left Euston on time and looked and sounded great running up Camden Bank. Small crowd of photographers and curious passer-by's.

    Everyone left happy.

My photo's not great so will leave it for others to post.
