That implies she didn't go via the Cotswold Line . Presumably Sapperton and GW Main Line

is she taking the whole train back to London ?

Has to be going via Sapperton, unless there's been some major track work, most steam is out of gauge southbound from Standish Jcn - Westerleigh Jcn.

Wish I knew it was via Sapperton, or I would've seen it there too.

A bit more than being pushed I think judging by the noise & exhaust from the skip, plus the acceleration rate of 6201.

Oh thanks Mike; I was just struggling to understand what was going on. But then with no advertising of the turn, its guesswork I suppose. Cheers, Pete

What does the Royal Train weigh ?, Mk3's and a 67 surely is heftier than 12 Mk1's, plus the schedule may of been made with Diesel power in mind and Steam was a later addition.

I doubt it'll be coming to Birmingham tomorrow, the logisitics of locking down a busy station like Moor St for a period make it unlikely, just an educated guess mind, Im in the dark as much as anyone, that said I'll be out for Mayflower tomorrow morning anyway so could make a quick diversion if needbe.

Yes the diesel was pushing, but 6201 was certainly doing her share judging by the noise. Nice shots Bill and Bifur01.

Oxford is the missing one I'm led to believe.

Lizzie was seen at Swindon (gen received) so must have gone up Sapperton. I was going to dash there myself after I'd picked my lad up from school. As he was all but the last one waiting in the playground, looking dejected, I thought better of it!
