    Hello all,

I've been a lurker for awhile and have finally decided to join so I can benefit from the knowledge and expertise here. I have collected first generation DMU and EMU worksplates upto now and once managed a cheap class 08 worksplate (Derby 1960). I have finally been fortunate enough to afford a steam item, specifically an LMS tender plate, No. 9851 of 1944. On the back is written "45253", an LMS black 5 that survived until April 1968. Black 5's were being built at the time to help with the war effort, however 45253 (which the tender ended its days with) is a '36 engine. Is there any way of knowing which locomotive the tender was originally paired with?

    My thanks and kind regards,

    Robert B.
